Not sure what to buy family & friends as a gift - why not buy them a tour and tasting at £30 per head. Vouchers are postcard size & printed on heavy duty 600gm card. They are valid for 12 months & can be posted with a gift message or collected at the cellar door.
We’ve had half a dozen harsh frosts here at Hawkswood and our thoughts are turning to winter pruning, which we usually start just before Christmas (as long as we’ve had plenty of frost to make sure the vines are fully dormant).
Gloves are essential on these cold mornings, and we also have company in the form of Nellie, our Golden Retriever, and Archie, our Cairn Terrier! They usually get fed up after half an hour and want to get back inside to the warmth of the kitchen!
Hawkswood Vineyard are delighted to have been awarded the honour of being the Wine GB, best vineyard in the East of England in 2024, as well as a gold medal for their Pinot Rose and a silver medal for their Bacchus. Previous Wine GB national awards can be found using the link below.
We are delighted to arrange ad hoc, bespoke tours and tastings at either 12:00pm or 14:00pm, Monday to Saturday, throughout the year for groups of eight or more. For individuals or couples, we run regular seasonal tastings which we advertise on our website and via Facebook page. These can be booked via the contact page on our website.
Memories of autumn colours are now fading as we have had our first half a dozen severe frosts, and we have to start winter pruning. These two views show the autumn colours in October 2021 and October 2023 over Hawkswood Vineyard.
